"For as long as I can remember, I have been trying to get sober.  There were an abundance of alcohol treatment centers, psychological institutes, and psychiatrists.  None of them were effective, until I followed treatment with an aftercare plan.   This aftercare plan, included residency at a sober house in North Haven Connecticut.  The experience literally saved my life.  The sober house I attended wasn?t a house at all.  This was a home.  The owner and his wife lived with us providing constant counsel and love.  This experience and the people involved changed the way I view treatment.  As a result, we opened a brand new sober house in New Haven Connecticut, which mirrors this model. 
       We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and most importantly drug free environment.   We feel the only way to truly achieve this is to live on site with our residents.  My bedroom and the staff bedrooms are situated amongst the resident?s rooms.  We feel this provides a family atmosphere, which is critical in the early stages of recovery.  In addition to living on site, we provide an array of services that are designed to help the recovering addict repair his life.  These services are the backbone to our organization, and are what make our houses feel like home."
