About Us

The Turning Point Foundation is a non–profit organization, providing nationally–recognized substance abuse rehabilitation services. Our team is a blend of professionals and recovering staff, creating the ideal combination of formal credentials and firsthand experience. Our facility is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the outskirts of New Haven, Connecticut, a cultural center with museums, concerts and Yale University.

Our Philosophy

Addiction is a threefold disease that negatively impacts a resident’s physical, mental and spiritual health. As a result, we use a comprehensive and integrated Mind–Body–Spirit approach to recovery. Our program integrates diverse modalities that repair health on those three levels. We use both traditional and non–traditional methods woven into a comprehensive and phased “re–integration” approach to recovery. Residents receive physical and nutritional conditioning for the body, psychoeducation and psychotherapy for the mind, and meditative activities such as Yoga and 12–step programs to enrich the spirit.

We believe that offering these components increases the resident’s chances of successful recovery. These components set us above the typical program, and make the Turning Point Foundation the natural continuation of primary residential treatment.
